Meals are served by reviewing recipes. Assemble ingredients for cooking; maintain equipment and inventory for a healthy kitchen.
The duties that await you to work are:
Plan meals by analyzing recipes. Retrieve and request components.
* Prepare ingredients by following recipes. Slicing, cutting, retouching, stirring, mixing ingredients; adding spices; checking taste.
* Completes meal preparation by barbecue, sautéing, roasting, frying, trimming ingredients; checking for taste; assembling and cooling cold ingredients.
* Serves meals by placing and arranging hot and cold items using dishes, bowls and baskets.
* Controls costs by adhering to prescriptions;
* Maintains a healthy kitchen by adhering to state sanitary, storage and cooling requirements; cleaning equipment.
* Maintains stock supplies by checking inventory. Anticipate needs; place and speed up orders;
* Maintains equipment operation by following operating instructions; Troubleshooting; Performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; Calling for repairs.

Training and educating Ranch House kitchen staff on food products and presentation to maintain high quality standards.
Training and educating all kitchen staff on sanitation techniques and practices to ensure compliance with health and legal regulations.
Ensuring high levels of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout the kitchen areas at all times.
Establishing controls to minimize waste and theft to maximize profits.
Monitoring staff scheduling to ensure that food preparation is optimal and within budgeted labor cost targets.
Consulting with food and beverage management team and events on aspects of food production for special events being planned.

Sets and maintains regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas.
Visiting the dining area periodically when it is open to interact with guests.
You must be skilled at time management.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a chef.
You must have experience in managing food cost and salaries.
Flexible at working in all shifts including vacations, nights, weekends and overtime as required by business needs.
Working knowledge of various computer programs including POS, Microsoft Office and Inventory.
Ability to calculate numbers and amounts such as discounts, percentages, percentages, region, perimeter and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra.
Certificate of completion from business school, professional certificate, driver’s license, red seal certificate.
Sometimes an employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, and handle kneeling; the employee must sometimes lift / or move up to 50 kilos. Specific vision capabilities required by this function include remote vision.
Accommodation is available at a nominal rate with a discount at the end of the season for a portion of the rent based on strong driving and adherence to hotel accommodation policies.
Salary: From $ 10,000 to $ 14,000.
